Bringing home a new puppy is so exciting for any family. It will create fun memories that last a lifetime!
Obedience training is one of the first steps to introducing a new puppy to your family. Puppies can start learning basic commands like "sit," "stay," and "come" as early as eight weeks old. Figuring out how to properly train your puppy can seem overwhelming, but don't stress; at CONNECT K9, we are here to educate you on the puppy training basics.
We focus on implementing reliable potty training, setting the foundation of enjoyable crate time, setting a foundation for in-home manners, confidence-building and environment training .
We are implementing a clear communicating methode and a reward system that will give the puppy a wonderful bond and Trust and a great start into basic obedience.

We love to raise our own puppies and as puppy trainer we have many years experience working with puppies. We know which techniques work best when teaching them new behaviors and will keep these in mind while training your puppy too.
With this knowledge, they’ll be able to train your puppy in less time than it would take you alone.

We rely on using treats and food rewards for reinforcing trained and desirable behaviors.
Due to the nature of puppies and the limited time in our care, our focus is on basic household manners and creating a reliable schedule for your pup.
Puppies in these age are not too young to learn the basics, they are learning how to seek out rewarding behaviors.
During the 30 day period, we will begin implementing a clear method of communication. We have found that dogs who go through our puppy program often have quicker results and fewer troublesome behaviors than those who join us at a later age.

Visits during the Board & Train:
For the best results, we recommend full immersion into the program with limited contact from the puppy’s at-home environment. Visitations pose a risk of old habits and bad behaviors resurfacing and inhibiting the dog’s progression. However, we do understand that being away from your furry friends can be difficult, which is why we send weekly updates with photos and videos to make the days just a little shorter.
The Importance of Puppy Training

Almost everyone and everything is new to your puppy. Puppies may not know how to respond positively and safely to new experiences without proper training.
That's why CONNECT K9 is starting puppy training as soon as possible, so you and your pup can bond and start your adventures on the right foot!
Puppies have a desire to please you, so training can be fun and even easy for them!
We always pray to our puppy owners keeping a puppy safe, that should be the number one priority of new dog owners.

Socialization
Training can also help with puppy socialization. Socialization should be prioritized in the early stages of a puppy's life. Group puppy training classes are a great and a very safe place to introduce them to new friends while keeping safe and teaching an appropriate behavior.
